Expertise for Large-Scale Projects of the Energy Transition

A high level of technical expertise is required during the specification-, tender- and engineering-phase and for a reliable operation of large-scale power electronic projects, as the technologies used are comparatively new and extremely complex. At the same time, these systems are subject to continuous development pressure, as technical requirements have to be adapted rapidly to meet new demands of the power grids. Mosaic Grid Solutions has extensive know-how and project experience in the field of high-voltage direct current transmission (HVDC) and in the field of converter systems connected to the transmission grid, such as flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS), large-scale battery storages or electrolysers.

In addition to feasibility studies and the development of technical specifications, Mosaic Grid Solutions is your reliable partner during tendering processes or in the context of multi-year engineering phases including accompanying quality assurance measures, for factory acceptance tests and for commissioning. We also provide support in the modeling and analysis of events, such as incidents that may occur after commissioning.

Mosaic Grid Solutions supports you – among other services – during:

  • Feasibility studies (concept development and validation)
  • Technical specification phase (determination of functional requirements)
  • Tender phase (evaluation of vendor concepts and preparation and execution of negotiations)
  • Engineering phase (support for the development of simulation models, for performance studies, and for system integration studies)
  • Qualitiy assurance measures during the engineering phase (conduction of simplified system studies to obtain a qualified second opinion)
  • Factory acceptance (preparation of test plans, support for the factory acceptance phase)
  • Commissioning (preparation of test plans, support for the commissioning phase)
  • Modeling and analysis of incidents during system operation (post-fault analysis)
